First MDI "Family Day" at the Greenville Drive Baseball Game.

On the evening of July 30th, 2015, McAlister Design had it's first employee "Family Day".  This event was held as a token of McAlister Design’s appreciation and commitment to the employees that work here and the families that support them. The evening started with an all-you-can-eat buffet of hot dogs, hamburgers, BBQ, sides, tea, lemonade, and deserts. There was much fun and fellowship eating and meeting everyone's spouse and kids. After dinner, everyone was invited to the stands to enjoy the baseball game with their families. This event was a huge success for MDI with approximately 65 in attendance. This could very well become an annual tradition of appreciation for the great employees that work for this company.

To the McAlister Design Employees:

"Thank you for all of your hard work, loyalty, and dedication to this great company!"

New expansions at McAlister Design increase floor space to 32,000 square feet!

McAlister Design, Inc. moved to 22 Woods Lake Road, Greenville, SC, 20607 in March of 2012.

By December of 2012 (only 9 months later), the company had so many projects on the shop floor management made the decision to expand through the back manufacturing shop wall into a neighboring vacant building. By joining the buildings together with a 12' by 12' ramped tunnel, this expansion increased the company's usable floor to approximately 24,000 square feet.

Many larger projects and opportunities came during and after this initial expansion. McAlister Design could now handle multiple large production-line style projects by assembling one in the lower shop and the second one in the new upper shop.

During the end of 2013 and beginning of 2014, MDI expanded a second time to add an additional 8,000 more square feet of manufacturing area where much larger automation systems and production lines could be built and tested in house.  This 3rd wide open shop floor area has yet to be completely finished, but plans have been made to quickly update the paint and lighting to make it ready for new large automation projects.

To date, MDI has three main assembly shop areas. The main shop is approximately 12,500 square feet with 13 foot ceilings, the secondary shop is approximately 8,000 square feet with 16 foot ceilings, and the newest shop addition is approximately 8,000 square feet with 16 foot ceilings.
